Know Your Customer Lead

About the Role

KYC (Know Your Customer) Lead is responsible for leading the KYC team and ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies related to customer identification and verification. They oversee the team's daily operations, implement procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency in customer due diligence, and identify and manage risks related to the KYC process. 

Work Responsibilities

• Directing the work of the KYC team, including coaching, training, and performance management.
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with KYC requirements and regulations.
• Overseeing the review and analysis of customer data to ensure accuracy and completeness of KYC information.
• Identifying and managing risks associated with the KYC process, including suspicious activity, fraud, and money laundering.
• Working closely with other departments such as compliance, legal, and operations to ensure effective and efficient KYC processes.
• Preparing regular reports on KYC processes, results, and trends for management and regulators.
• Staying current with industry trends and regulations related to KYC processes and making recommendations for process improvements as necessary.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is typically required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a KYC role with a deep understanding of KYC requirements, regulations, and processes.
• Have experience in leading a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze data and identify risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of KYC information.
• Knowledge of the financial industry and relevant regulations
