AML Officer (Policy & Advisory)

About the Role

AML Officer will be reporting to AML Manager (Policy & Advisory). This position will help the team to develop and monitor AML policies and procedures within the company. They should have a strong understanding of AML regulations and industry standards, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. 

Work Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining AML policies and procedures that comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Providing AML advisory support like expert advice and guidance to other departments within the organization on AML issues and compliance requirements.
• Assess the organization's AML risks and implement appropriate controls to mitigate those risks.
• Developing and delivering AML training programs to employees at all levels within the organization.
• Conducting AML investigations into suspicious activities and transactions, including conducting interviews and gathering evidence.
• Up to dates with changes in AML regulations and industry standards, and ensure that the organization's AML policies and procedures remain current.
• Ensuring that any suspicious activities or transactions are reported to the relevant authorities in a timely manner.
• Collaborating with other departments such as Legal and Compliance, to ensure that AML policies and procedures are integrated into the organization's overall risk management framework

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree (S1) or equivalent
• At least 3 years experience in related field
• Working knowledge of the Banking practices and AML regulations as well as AML system is preferred
• Working knowledge of AML transaction monitoring and Technology Information system on data processing (Excel, Access) is preferred
• Able to work with team and demonstrate clear and concise communication and having good analytical skills
