AML Manager (Financial Intelligence Unit)

About the Role

AML Manager (Financial Intelligence Unit) is the one who is responsible for analyzing and investigating financial transactions to identify potential money laundering and terrorist financing activities. A Financial Intelligence Unit is a government agency responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating financial intelligence information.

Work Responsibilities

• Manage team that consist of AML professionals by monitoring financial transactions for suspicious activity and ensure that investigators are alerted to potential suspicious activity in a timely manner.
• Oversees the investigation of suspicious financial activity, working with investigators to identify and track criminal activity, trace the flow of funds, and identify individuals and organizations involved in illicit financial activities.
• Performing any transaction analysis or investigation on the alerted transaction or escalated AML case
• Communicate and working together with the related unit in terms of fulfilling on data request from Local regulator or Law enforcement
• Provides any advisory to the related unit pertaining to AML Red Flag/Concerns
• Reviewing and updating the scenario and parameter on the AML transaction monitoring system
• Involving on any Project initiated impacting to Transaction Monitoring
• Supporting any Audit that involves AML Department.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree (S1) or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred
• 5 - 10 years on the Bank experiences and having at least 5 years on the Anti Money Laundering (AML) background
• Previous supervisory experience
• Working knowledge of the Banking practices and AML regulations as well as AML system is preferred
• Working knowledge of AML transaction monitoring and Technology Information system on data processing (Excel, Access) is preferred
• Able to work with team and demonstrate clear and concise communication and having good analytical skills
